The Value of Afterschool Panel Discussion
We'll kickoff with a short discussion of afterschool data and the state of afterschool in Kansas and Missouri. We will then hear about afterschool programs and their value from a variety of perspectives, including business leaders, law enforcement, program leaders, parents, and youth.

A panel of mayors from Kansas and Missouri will share examples of how they used their role as municipal leaders to build and develop high quality afterschool programs in their communities.

Action Planning and Connecting with your State Afterschool Networks.
City Teams will meet to formulate an action plan to strengthen youth opportunities in their local community. Network leadership will also share about next steps, resources available and how network staff can help and support city leaders in turning their plans into action in their home communities.
